In my own words:

One week after my 49th birthday I had to have a colostomy, which might be temporary but it might not. Finding a partner has now become that much harder. How do you even start that conversation? 'Hey, my name is Suzanne and I've got a bag' I' am blessed though as I have a good support network.

I live in Solihul, West Midlands but i spend as much time as I can in my beloved Cornwall and aim to move home in 2 years time when my youngest finishes secondary school. I don't let my colostomy stop me doing anything. I'm a mother to 3 girls and work fulltime as an A&E nurse in a busy major trauma centre.
